Notable Projects

We’ve become a trusted and reliable provider in Canada’s healthcare system. We work with various health authorities nationally to offer innovative services that supplement the health authorities and improve patient outcomes.

We’re proud to share some of the notable projects we’ve worked on since our inception in 2015. If you’d like to work with us, please reach out!

Phlebotomy Collection Services - Calgary Zone

Calgarians reported a significant increase in wait times at blood collection sites. To help address this issue, Aceso Medical partnered with APL to reduce the wait times and enhance collection capacity across the Calgary zone.

Also change the last sentence to: “From August 2023 to February 2024, four collection sites were set-up throughout Calgary helping to reduce waiting times by over 75%.

Alberta Precision Laboratories Rapid Testing

Aceso Medical had the privilege of working on the front lines during one of the most trying experiences we’ve faced in modern history.

We worked in partnership with Alberta Precisions Laboratories to create, administer, and manage the rapid deployment of COVID-19 testing teams between 2020 and 2022 at the height of the pandemic.

On less than 24 hours notice, the most trusted members of our team, along with the custom built Acceso Medical mobile clinic NAAT Covid labs, were deployed across all five different health zones throughout Alberta.

This “On Request” based service focused on long-term care, continuing care facilities, and areas of outbreak. During this time, we collected over 50,000 samples and set up over 1,000 site visits to serve our province.

Community COVID Testing

To protect the greater population and minimize the spread of the virus, AHS requested mass community COVID testing sites. Aceso Medical set up sites in St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Leduc, Edmonton, Red Deer, Maskwacis, and Calgary.

During 2020 and 2022, we completed over 500,000 tests across eight cities. It was our responsibility to deploy, staff, and manage collection sites to serve the public.

Community Infusions

The COVID pandemic posed a significant threat to the most vulnerable population. Aceso Medical worked alongside AHS to provide infusion clinics that administered Remedsivr and Sotrovimab to immuno-comprised COVID positive patients.

To do this, we deployed both mobile and pop-up infusion clinics, that strictly adhered to the strictest IPC processes, to serve the patients of Alberta.

Evusheld

Evusheld is an injection that was introduced to provide protection from the COVID-19 virus beyond the vaccine. For individuals who are immunocompromised or who have undergone an organ transplant, this additional protection was essential.

Aceso Medical provided mobile and stationary injection clinics with full cold chain compliant drug storage. We served over 2,700 patients to provide them with the additional support they needed from 2020 to 2022

Alberta Education School-Based Testing

One of the most significant concerns for parents during the pandemic was the health of their children. With schools often being hotspots for spreading viruses, Aceso Medical provided the peace of mind Edmontonians needed by administering rapid testing to schools.

This service was the first and only of its kind in Canada. We would deploy to nearly 16 schools and administer 800 tests per school per day.

Mobile Vaccines

Both during and after the pandemic, Aceso Medical worked diligently to provide mobile vaccinations to Albertans. Vaccinations include COVID-19, HPV and others.

Our converted coach buses were capable of delivering over 400 injections each day, and our mobile vans were also deployed to administer over 80 injections per day.

Aid-Based Work in Ukraine

The war that erupted in Ukraine in 2022 has been devastating to the country and its residents. Ukraine was in desperate need of medical care and resources, with a specific need for insulin.

Aceso Medical worked quickly to deploy staff and resources from Canada. We delivered insulin, other necessary medications and five tonnes of food to Western camps. Our staff worked around the clock to provide the support that Ukraine needed.
